According to sources, the training would be imparted to police officers, officers serving in the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Intelligence officers.  “The course named ‘Interviewing Terror Suspects (ITS)’ will be conducted by the US Embassy. It focuses on developing skills to conduct non-coercive interviews with the terror suspects and investigation on terror cases. This will enhance the skills of the investigators in information gathering,” the sources said. The course will also include lessons on human rights and effective communication skills. Besides, trainees will have to identify potential challenges in implementing the investigation methods at their respective agencies and develop strategies to overcome them.
