Air Chief arrives in City

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air Chief Marshal P V Naik, the Chief of Air Staff, will address the commanders of the Southern Air Command in the city on Friday. The Air Chief, who is due to retire on July 31, will address issues related to the growing strategic importance of South India, the jurisdiction of the SAC.Naik, who arrived in the city on a two-day visit on Thursday accompanied by his wife Madhubala Naik, was received by Air Marshal Sumit Mukerji, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, SAC. On his arrival, the Air Chief reviewed a guard of honour. All commanders of the SAC stations and wings will attend the conference, a Defence spokesperson said.
