AIADMK General Council meeting Friday

CHENNAI: The first meeting of the General Council of the ruling AIADMK after romping home to power, will be held at suburban Vanagaram on Friday.The meeting assumes significance further as it is being held after the ouster of V K Sasikala and 15 of her relatives from the primary membership of the party.The party will take stock of the political situation as well as the party affairs during the session. Mullaiperiyar dam issue and Koodankulam issue are likely to be discussed.Chief Minister and party chief J Jayalalithaa will be addressing the general council members. The meeting of the Executive Committee of the party will also be held on Friday.
