Actress shot in head, admitted to hospital

Mumbai: Sanjana Srivastava, a model and TV actress, was on Saturday admitted to a private hospital after she was shot in the head.

She will undergo surgery on Saturday evening.

She was brought to sub-urban Arogya Nidhi Hospital in an unconscious condition by unidentified persons and was in a state of coma, police said.

Sanjana hails from Lucknow and besides working in TV serials, she has also modelled for some ad campaigns.

Juhu police have registered a case of assault and were probing into the possible cause of the injuries.
