Dehradun: At least four army personnel have been injured in a blast at the Gorkha Rifles headquarters in Garhi Cantonment area of Dehradun on Saturday afternoon. While it is still not clear what actually caused the blast, but it reportedly took place inside a truck carrying ration items.
The blast took place at the gate of 6/8 Gorkha Rifles when an army jawan got down from the truck to pick up a suspicious object lying on the ground. An artillery fuse is said to have caused the blast. Accidental.
The injured have been admitted to an army hospital. The palm of one is the jawans was severed due to the blast. Senior police officials have ruled out a terror attack.
