HYDERABAD: The state government has decided to rehabilitate about 100 Muslim youth who have been picked up following the Mecca Masjid blasts case but were later released after discovering that they were not involved in the incident.Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy made an announcement to build confidence among the youth and promised to provide them any required help, during the Iftar dinner hosted by him at Nizam College grounds in Hyderabad on Friday.Speaking on the occasion after participating in the Maghrib prayer at the venue, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the state government will do everything possible for the welfare of the Muslim minorities.Recalling various welfare programmes being implemented for the Muslim community, he said the state government has sanctioned another Haj house near the Shamshabad Airport and also a study circle for the Muslim students.He sought the cooperation of all Muslim brethen for peace, development and progress of the state.Assembly speaker N Manohar, ministers D Nagender, K Lakshminarayana, Anam Ram Narayan Reddy, P Shankar Rao, V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, K V Krishna Reddy, Mohd Ahmadullah, MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, former APCC president D Srinivas, former minister Shabbir Ali and Hyderabad Mayor B Karthika Reddy attended the Iftar. Muslim elders and elite of the twin cities were also present.
