How to Change the Route on Google Maps on PC or Mac
This wikiHow teaches you how to change your travel route between two points on Google Maps, using a desktop internet browser.
Steps

Open Google Maps in your internet browser. Type maps.google.com into your browser's address bar, and hit ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.

Click the search bar on the top-left. This will allow you to type and search a location on the map.

Search a location on the map. Enter a location's address or name into the search bar, and click the Android 7 Search icon to see it on the map. You can search your route's starting point or destination here.

Click Directions on the left-panel. Your locations details are shown on the left-hand side of your screen. Click the Directions button at the top of the info panel to get directions from your current location to this place.

Click and hold a point on the route. When the Maps app draws you a route between your starting point and your destination, click and hold on one of the points on the route to change it.

Drag the route anywhere on the map. While holding a point on the route, move your mouse and drag it anywhere on the map. Maps will re-draw your route, and make sure to include this point on it.

What's your reaction?
