Pinning a conversation on Snapchat lets you see it at the very top of your Chat screen. If you want to unpin a conversation, you can easily do so in a few simple taps on your iPhone or Android. Snapchat users will not be notified when they are pinned and unpinned, so you can do this as many times as you like. This wikiHow will show you how to unpin your conversation with someone on Snapchat using your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
Things You Should Know
  • Snapchat users won't be notified when they are pinned or unpinned.
  • To pin a conversation, tap Chat, then tap and hold a friend's name. Tap Chat Settings, then Pin Conversation.
  • To unpin a conversation, tap Chat, then tap and hold a friend's name. Tap Chat Settings, then Unpin Conversation.

Open the Snapchat app. This the icon of the white ghost with a yellow background. Snapchat is available for iOS in the App Store and for Android in the Google Play Store. If you aren't already logged in, tap Sign in to do so now, or create an account.

Tap the Chat icon. This is the text box icon on the bottom toolbar, to the left of the camera. You'll see a list of all your recently messaged friends.

Tap and hold on a friend's name. A pop-up menu will open. When you pin someone on Snapchat, a red push pin will be visible on the right side of their name. You can also reach this menu by tapping a friend's profile icon, then tapping the three dots icon in the top-right corner.

Tap Chat Settings. You'll be taken to more settings.

Tap Unpin Conversation. The red push pin will be removed, and the conversation with the user will be unpinned. If the conversation is the most recent, it will still appear at the top. To pin someone again, follow the previous steps and tap Pin Conversation. Keeping friends pinned is a great way to increase your Snapchat score as this allows you quick access to Snaps.
