Tom Holland and Zendaya are arguably the cutest couple in Hollywood. The Spiderman co-stars who fell in love on the sets of the film have been going strong ever since. Although the couple has kept their relationship private, they have been spotted on numerous public occasions and exotic vacations, spending romantic getaways. On September 4, Tom and Zendaya attended American singer-songwriter Beyonce’s third and final Renaissance Tour concert, held in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. Among the other A-listed celebrities marking their presence at the glitzy event, the Spider-Man couple stole the show by participating in Beyonce’s “Mute" challenge. The moment was rightfully captured by TikToker and concertgoer Toshe Phillips, who dropped the video on the platform soon after.
Beyonce’s concerts have a special ritual. Whenever she performs her hit song Energy, the audience has an untold rule to go completely quiet for a few seconds as there is a part in the track that goes dead silent at one point. After that when the beats resume, they carry on singing along with the 42-year-old. This time too, after singing the line “Look around everybody on mute" from her song Energy, Beyonce was seen putting her hands up in the air while the background dancers halted their performance abruptly. This known gesture was followed by the frenzied audience who also went absolutely silent for the bare few seconds.
The video dropped by the TikToker shows Tom Holland and Zendaya complying with the “Mute" challenge rules. In the blinding blue lights of the concert premises, the TikTok user Toshe Phillips zoomed her camera behind to focus on Tom and Zendaya. While the 27-year-old actor froze almost instantaneously at the beat drop with his hands high up in the air, the actor’s ladylove was seen covering her mouth with her hands, exuding a coy expression. After a short pause, when Beyonce sang the next line of her song, “Look around it’s me and my crew" the couple bounced back on a lip-syncing spree. The crowd too erupted in singing the verse.
Along with posting the video, the TikTok user appeared to be starstruck by Tom Holland and Zendaya as she wrote in her caption. “LA night 3 did not come and play. Also got video-bombed by the cutest couple (Tom and Zendaya)."
In an interaction with Elle magazine, Zendaya opened up about making the headlines for her equation with Tom Holland. She said, “Parts of my life I accept are going to be public… But I do have control over what I choose to share."
