The 6 franchises will be looking to sign the star players - Sardar Singh, Jamie Dwyer, Rupinder Pal etc.
135 Indian and 141 Foreign Players will go under the hammer.
9:30 AM: Hockey India president Narinder Batra welcomes all the franchises.
According to the new regulations, instead of 14 Indian players, each franchise now needs only 12 and instead of 10 foreign players, the maximum a team can now have is 8.
Also all 20 players will be on the match sheet with a minimum of two goalkeepers on the bench.
The new field-goal scoring system is sure to force all the six teams back to the drawing table and poach for playmakers and attackers instead of drag-flickers as rather than finding the foot of the defence, the intention will be to sound the board through field play.
