Goal.com reports the Paraguayan international who was available for a free transfer, made a switch to La Liga from Manchester City for a three-year deal.
The striker expressed joy after he believed his efforts from last season paid. "I am very grateful to the club for the effort made for my continuation at the club," Santa Cruz commented on his move.

Santa Cruz made the eventual move after speculative offers from Serie A Club Bologna. He scored eight goals from 30 appearances for Malaga last season.
