Barcelona: Real Betis were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Granada in the Spanish league on Sunday, leaving both teams with one win through five rounds.
It was Betis' second scoreless result in four days after they drew with Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday. Betis created more chances than Granada at Seville's Benito Villamarin Stadium, especially after playmaker Joan Verdu went on in the 77th minute.
The former Espanyol midfielder set up Cedrick Mabwati with two minutes to play, only to see him miss with a close-range header. Verdu went close with a shot from a tight angle in injury time.
Later, Gareth Bale makes his home debut for Real Madrid against Getafe, while the unbeaten Villarreal plays at Celta Vigo and struggling Valencia host Sevilla.
