Inter Milan set to be sold to Indonesian industry tycoon?
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is in talks with Erick Thohir, son of Indonesia industry tycoon Teddy Thohir as per reports.

Serie A giants Inter Milan could be set to sell a significant stake in the club to Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, according to reports. Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has been interested in finding the right investors for the club and it has been learned that the club is in talks with Thohir, son of Indonesia industry tycoon Teddy Thohir.

As per a report in astrowami.com, Thohir has tabled an offer of 280 million euros (£239m, $364m) in an attempt to secure an 80 percent stake in the club but Moratti has already turned down a majority ownership offer from the Indonesian who already holds shares in the NBA club the Philadelphia 49ers as well as MLS outfit DC United.

Moratti is interested to sell between 20-30 per cent of Inter to help raise funds for a new stadium. At present, Inter share the famous San Siro ground with rivals AC Milan.

Moratti had bought the club in 1995 from Ernesto Pellegrini, following in the footsteps of his own father Angelo, who owned Inter from 1955 to 1968, during the side's 'golden age'. There earlier reports that the Nerazzurri owner would sell the club if the time is right.

"Right now I am looking for minority shareholders that will help me to build our own stadium. Then, maybe, one day I could sell Inter," Moratti had told Tuttosport as reported by www.espnfc.com on March 1 this year. "I won't exclude that, I have already thought about it. I will sell this club if the time is right."
