Lisbon, Portugal: Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has been fined a week's wages for breaking a club curfew after being pictured outside a strip club less than 48 hours before a match.

The controversial Italy international violated club regulations by visiting a club in Liverpool in the early hours of Friday morning. City played Bolton in the Premier League on Saturday, with Balotelli scoring in a 2-0 win.

Balotelli is reported in the British media to earn 120,000 Pounds a week.

City manager Roberto Mancini said on Wednesday that "every player should have good behavior before the game."

Balotelli has generated numerous headlines for his off-the-field antics since joining City in 2010.

Last week, the striker was asked to leave a shopping center for refusing to pull down the hood of his top.

The controversial Italy international was told by security guards at the Trafford Center in Manchester that he would be ejected if he didn't remove the hood.
