SBI Cautions Applicants Regarding Fraudulent Selection Lists Circulating on Websites

The State Bank of India (SBI) has put out a warning to applicants about bogus websites that are distributing fraudulent lists of candidates for bank vacancies. The bank intends to emphasise that the names of shortlisted individuals are never made public in any results. Applicants are recommended to cross-check information from the websites indicated in the announcement to ensure the validity of any correspondence issued.

As per the official announcement from SBI, there have been pretences that suggest that individuals involved in fraudulent operations have developed websites that are seemingly identical to legitimate SBI websites. These bogus websites have been disseminating fabricated lists for individuals chosen for SBI employment, and there have been reports of fake appointment letters supposedly issued by SBI.

An additional clarification is provided by SBI, which states that it only releases the registration and roll numbers of applicants who are chosen for a position. Shortlisted candidates are notified individually via SMS, email, or postal mail. All recruitment-related material, including as notifications, interview dates, and final results, is only available on the official SBI website.

According to the announcement on the official website, “Only roll numbers/registration numbers are published and shortlisted/selected candidates are informed individually through SMS/Email/Post. All details regarding recruitment e.g. notice, interview schedule, final result etc., are published only on https://www.sbi.co.in/careers and https://bank.sbi/careers.”

To avoid falling prey to fraudulent activity, the SBI recommended receivers of such communications to cross-verify their legitimacy immediately from the aforementioned official websites.

In the meantime, the SBI clerk 2023 admit card for the Junior Associate preliminary exams has been released on the official SBI website, sbi.co.in. The SBI Clerk Prelims 2023 examination will take place on January 5, 6, 11, and 12, 2024. The State Bank of India intends to fill a total of 8773 Junior Associate (JA) jobs through this hiring process. Candidates may access their prelims hall tickets by signing in using their registration number and password.
