Candidates can apply for the IIMC PG diploma courses through the official website at pgcuet.samarth.ac.in up until January 24 as per the notice issued

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi issued the admission notification for the PG diploma course for the academic year 2024 – 2025 on January 5. As per the notice, the application process is underway and the last date to submit the forms is January 24. Candidates can apply for the PG diploma courses through the official website at pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. Before completing the application form, prospective candidates must first register themselves on the portal. The IIMC courses are listed as ‘Common’ in the CUET (PG) information booklet, with the question paper code COQP17.

The IIMC New Delhi will hold an entrance exam for admission to various PG Diploma courses via the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG. The entrance examinations for the language courses for the PG Diploma in Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, and Urdu will be held separately, the notice states.

IIMC Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university is required for admission to IIMC New Delhi. Students in their final year or semester of their Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible to apply. Furthermore, admission is conditional on such candidates producing a Provisional marks sheet/Certificate from their college/university by September 30, with the possibility of extension in exceptional cases. The Diploma will be awarded upon course completion if the Original Degree Certificate is submitted for verification at the IIMC’s office.

The date of birth (DoB) of General Category candidates must be on or after August 1, 1999, making the maximum age limit of 25 years as of August 1, 2024. Candidates in the Other Backward Class (OBC) category must have been born on or after August 1, 1996, with a maximum age limit of 28 years as of August 1, 2024.

Furthermore, SC/ST/PWD candidates who were born on or after August 1, 1994, are eligible, with a maximum age limit of 30 years as of August 1, 2024. These age limits serve as a framework for the eligibility criteria for various types of applicants.
