The BTSC ANM candidate selection procedure has three stages. First, a computer-based test was administered, consisting of 100-mark exams with multiple-choice questions based on the ANM curriculum. Minimum qualifying marks will be imposed for each category to ensure fairness and competition. In the second phase, the merit list will be created, taking into account 60 points from the competitive test as well as additional points for higher-level courses such as GNM, B.Sc. (Nursing), Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing), and M.Sc (Nursing).

The final step evaluates candidates’ job experience in Bihar’s government and non-private hospitals. Points will be awarded at a rate of 5 per year, with a maximum of 25, taking into account part-year work as well. This phase will have a total of 100 points, which includes competitive exam scores, higher course points, and experience evaluation.

The Bihar Technical Service Commission was established by the Bihar Technical Service Commission Act, 2014, to select candidates for technical positions in Groups ‘B’ and ‘C’ within the Bihar State Government.
