Jasprit Bumrah had a tremendous start to the T20 World Cup 2024 journey. Bumrah has already won two Player of the Match awards in the competition and played a key role in guiding India to a two-match winning streak. Bumrah will next be up against co-hosts USA tonight and ahead of the T20 World Cup fixture, the Indian fast bowler had a fun-filled interaction with National Football League (NFL) linebacker Micah Parsons.
The American NFL player, who represents, the Dallas Cowboys, even took part in a game of cricket with Bumrah. The Indian cricketer also tried his hand at American football. The official Instagram handle of the NFL shared a few pictures of Bumrah and Parsons being involved in the light-hearted playing session.

Reacting to the NFL’s post, a user referred to Jasprit Bumrah as the “game changer.”
“Never in my life thought I would see NFL and cricket collab,” read another response.
One social media user commented, “Americans slowly starting to realise that cricket is actually bigger than what they think it is.”
Another user inquired, “Is cricket interesting genuinely asking.”
“Virat is best batsman and Bumrah is best bowler,” replied another person.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah visited the NFL headquarters in New York. He even had an interaction with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
“In a significant move towards fostering international sporting collaborations, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah visited the National Football League (NFL) headquarters in New York,” the BCCI said in a statement, as per news agency PTI.
The official handle of the BCCI also shared a video of Jay Shah visiting the NFL headquarters. “When the two biggest sporting leagues in the world unite! BCCI Honorary Secretary, Mr. Jay Shah, visited the NFL headquarters in New York to meet with Commissioner Mr. Roger Goodell and his distinguished team. This introductory meeting focused on sharing best practices, exchanging ideas, and elevating fan engagement and experiences,” read the post shared by BCCI on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Jay Shah presented a customised helmet with the BCCI logo embellished on it and a Team India jersey to Roger Goodell. Acknowledging the collaboration, the BCCI secretary was presented with a trademark NFL ball in return.
