Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has elated fans with his star-like entrance into a Chennai-based institute. Bumrah, currently on a break from international duty, is utilising his time well to rest and prepare himself for India’s upcoming Bangladesh series. Amid the ongoing break, the 30-year-old visited the fresher’s day at the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai. He even shared a glimpse of his visit on Instagram.

“The energy and enthusiasm of the crowd made it truly unforgettable! Thank you @sathyabama.official and Chancellor @mariazeena_johnson for the warm welcome and vibrant atmosphere!,” Bumrah captioned the video post.

The video begins with Bumrah arriving at the campus in a luxurious car. As soon as he stepped out of the vehicle, the bowler met the working committee. Bumrah picked a smoky blue half-sleeve shirt and a pair of grey trousers for the day. Later in the video, Bumrah made a grand entry.

Excited to see Bumrah enjoying himself off the pitch, several fans poured their reactions in the comments section. One of them even described the pacer as the best bowler of this generation. “No. one bowler of this era,” he wrote.

Another agreed and wrote, “Greatest bowler on the planet.”

One said, “Tamil Nadu loves you, Jassi.”

Another added, “Backbone of Indian bowling attack.”

“Jasprit Bumrah plays for my country. This is my biggest flex and pleasure.”

Bumrah last played for India in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 against South Africa. In the match played at Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29, he picked up two wickets to help India end the 11-year-long wait for an ICC tophy. He played in a total of eight matches for India in the shortest format megaevent and dismissed 15 batters. For his super show with the ball, the 30-year-old pacer won the Player of the Series award.

After a couple of months off, Bumrah is likely to make a comeback for India during the two-match Test series against Bangladesh next month. The series opener against Bangladesh is scheduled to take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
