India announced their 15-member squad of the T20 World Cup 2024 on 30th April with Rohit Sharma leading the squad and Hardik Pandya as the deputy. Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, and Sanju Samson make up the core of the top order with Pant being the first-choice wicketkeeper and Samson the designated backup option. Pandya, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel are the all-rounders in the squad while the spin department will have two leggies in Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Jasprit Bumrah leads the pace department comprising Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj, while Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, and Rinku Singh will travel to the Americas as the traveling reserves.

India will begin their World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 05, 2024, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, followed by the marquee clash against Pakistan on June 09, 2024 at the same venue. India will then play the USA and Canada on June 12 and 15 respectively.
