Rising Bharat 2024: Sidharth Malhotra Reveals He Lived in 'Half' Room, Paid Rs 11K Rent Before Debut

Sidharth Malhotra has come a long way in his career. He has made a special place in the hearts of his fans. Well, there was a time when he used to work hard to pay his rent. Yes, you are reading right. At CNN News18’s Rising Bharat Summit, the actor took the stage and shared about his acting journey. Sidharth said that he used to pay Rs 11000 as his rent and used to live in a half room.

Recalling his earlier days, Sidharth said, “Ek din mein aap kuch 35-40,000 kama sakte the. Mera 11000 rs ka rent tha. Hum juhu mein teen ladke sath mein rehte the. I think I had the best time. Kyunki vo struggle days ki alag masti hoti hai. Mujhe yaad hai humare pas one and half bedroom tha aur half mein main rehta tha. Ek half bed tha aur cupboards tha. Iss taraf sirf windows the. Aur jab hum shift kar rahe the tab humne kaha parde lagayenge. Hum two years wahan rahe humne kabhi itne paise karche nai kiye ki wahan parde lagaye.”

In the same segment, he also revealed that his first pay cheque was Rs 2,500 and he earned while doing modeling for an advertisement campaign.

Talking about his career, Sidharth made his debut with Student of The Year co-starring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The film was a hit and the audience loved him.

Sidharth Malhotra is currently seen in Yodha co-starring Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani. He has been receiving an overwhelming response for his performance. After the release of the film, the actor decided to surprise the viewers who flocked to theatres to catch the movie over the weekend. Videos of Sidharth inside cinema halls interacting with the cine-goers have gone viral on social media.

This year, the actor also made his OTT debut with Rohit Shetty’s web series Indian Police Force. The series also stars Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi.
