Suchana Seth, the Bengaluru CEO who was accused of killing her four-year-old son, asked the father of the child to come and meet him just days before committing the gruesome crime, said police. In addition to this, the police during its investigation said that the mother, who killed her son over the custody battle with her husband, has so far has shown no remorse over her alleged role in killing of the four-year-old boy.

During the probe, the police found that Suchana on January 6 messaged her estranged husband Venkat Raman and told him that he could meet the child the next day. However, Raman could not meet his son as Seth and the child were not in Bengaluru following which he left for Indonesia on the same day.

Notably, the couple filed for divorce in 2020 after 10 years of marriage. The court granted the father permission to his son on Sundays.

Meanwhile, Suchana was subjected to psychological tests to assess her mental condition to help find the motive behind the killing.

What Did Police Find During Investigation?

The Goa Police on Wednesday said that as per the initial investigations Suchana planned the murder of her son as they had recovered two empty bottles of cough syrup from the room where the accused allegedly killed the four-year-old, indicating that she might have given a heavy dose of the medicine to the deceased.

Revealing details about the murder, Dr Kumar Naik, a government doctor in Karnataka who conducted the post-mortem of the kid said that the accused “smothered” her four-year-old son to death. He further informed that no wounds or signs of struggle were found on the body of the four-year-old. He added that a pillow or a wire is likely to have been used.

It is believed that the Bengaluru CEO murdered her son because she did not want her estranged husband Venkat Raman to meet him. The court had allowed to Raman to meet their four-year-old son on Sundays after the couple’s divorce proceedings in 2020. The child was born in 2019 after the couple married in 2010.
