Volkswagen Polo Modified as F-86 SABRE, Inspired by Sabrejet
The customizer has took the graphics and body work inspiration from the North American F-86 Sabre transonic jet, or Sabrejet and hence named it the VW Polo F-86 SABRE.

Volkswagen Polo was among the first few premium hatchbacks to make its way to the Indian shores and is one of the most sold products to come out of the Volkswagen’s plant. But more than the premium hatch tag, it’s the ability of the Polo to convert to a hot hatch that makes it a canvas for modifiers across the globe.

A Chennai based customizer – Modsters Automotive has converted a stock VW Polo to a stunning looking hot hatch. The customizer has took the graphics and body work inspiration from the North American F-86 Sabre transonic jet, or Sabrejet and hence named the VW Polo F-86 SABRE.

The customized VW Polo gets an in-house-designed body kit that comes equipped with an aggressive front bumper with a front splitter, side skirts, large rear wing, custom rear bumper with aggressive diffuser and faux quartet of exhausts, custom Made FRP bonnet, all finished in a custom matte Olive Green exterior paint job, Carbon fiber-dipped 5-spoke alloy wheels, F-86 Sabre-based decals, and bright green projector headlights with LED DRLs.

There are no images for the interiors as of now, but we expect a mod-job inline with the exterior modifications. Volkswagen has already launched the new generation Polo for European markets, while India continues to get the current generation model.

In India, Polo is powered by a 1.2-litre MPi petrol and 1.5-litre TDI diesel engines paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. There’s also a GT TSI version with 1.2 turbocharged motor and 7-speed DSG gearbox capable of 105 PS and 175 Nm of peak torque, while the GT TDI has a 1.5 TDI motor and 5-speed manual producing 110 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque.
