Alongside the launch of its new and improved Micra series, including an automatic petrol version, Nissan today launched a 'sporty' Micra Active, starting at Rs 3.50 lakh. Based on the previous generation Micra, the Active series was launched with the aim of tapping a segment lower than the facelifted Micra models, which are priced at Rs 4.79 lakh and above.
Nissan claims that the Micra Active benefits from its highly competitive price, lower maintenance costs and superior fuel efficiency of 19.49 kmpl, all without a compromise in the driving experience. Nissan says that the Micra Active is targeted at first-time car buyers looking for an economical drive.
The Active is powered by the 1.2-litre petrol engine developing 68PS at 5000rpm and 104Nm at 4000rpm. Overall vehicle weight has been reduced by about 30kg compared with the outgoing Micra base variant.
