The Hyundai Exter was launched in India at under the price bracket between Rs 5.99 Lakhs to Rs 9.32 lakhs (ex-showroom). The mid-size SUV was offered in five variants.

Ever since the Hyundai Exter made its entry into the Indian market, it has received an overwhelming response from the customers, most of the credit goes to its boxy design and good built quality. Now, it has been reported by the company that the mid-size SUV has successfully secured multiple accolades at India’s Best Design Awards 2023 by Design India for its dynamic and innovative design.

As per the details shared by Hyundai, the newly launched Exter has clinched the prestigious ‘India’s Best Design Project’ Award, while Hyindai’s Advanced Design India team was honored as ‘India’s Best In-House Studio.

Reacting to the achievement, HMIE Hyundai Advanced Design India’s HOD, Chohee Park said “At Hyundai, we are committed to delivering cutting-edge future-ready products to our customers. This recognition is a testament to the efforts of our global design team and India design team that focused on understanding the aspirations of Gen MZ customers in this country “.

In addition, Park said the company invested a good effort and made the Exter a reality from the sketch. He said the team has reimagined the Hyundai SUV lifestyle with a modern perspective, and aligned with Hyundai’s Global Design Identity of Sensuous Sportiness.

The Hyundai Exter was launched in India at the starting price of Rs 5.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom), and goes up to Rs 9.32 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the top models. The game changer for the company was offered in five variants namely EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect.

Hyundai Exter Power

The car is powered by a 1.2L Kappa petrol engine, which generates a max output of 82 bhp and 113.8 Nm peak torque. The unit is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and Smart Auto. Apart from this, interested customers also can go for a 1.2L Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with company-fitted CNG, which has a 5-speed manual transmission.
