Ever since the Mahindra Thar Roxx or 5-doors has arrived in the Indian market, it has created a buzz across the social media platforms. The company is set to start the official bookings on October 3. Amid this, the car has reportedly witnessed a long waiting period of 3 three months.

Waiting Period in Different Cities

This comes at a time when the advance booking has even not started yet. It has been reported that the model is witnessing a waiting period of two months in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, while a three-month waiting period has been reported from Chennai, Jaipur and Ahmedabad, among other major cities and states.

Booking to Begin on October 3

Those who are interested in purchasing the vehicle can reserve the model by visiting any authorised dealership nationwide. The same also can be done online via the official website by paying a fully refundable token amount of Rs 21,000. The deliveries are scheduled to kickstart on October 12.

Design and Style

Thar Roxx shares the same style statement as its younger sibling’s three-door version. However, the enhanced size impacted its overall space inside the cabin. It became more practical than ever, featuring spacious seating arrangements with a decent usable space.

It gets a signature-style grill at the front, featuring a fully LED headlight setup, paired with integrated round-shaped DRLs. The LED indicators have been placed on the bonnet, which makes it look more aesthetic in its segment. The company has included dark-finished decent-sized cladding on the sides that makes it more aggressive from the outside.

Under the hood, it is powered by 2-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel. The former generates a maximum power of 159 bhp in MT and 174 bhp in AT. The latter churns out a maximum output of 149 bhp in MT and 172 in automatic.

As far as the price details are concerned, Thar Roxx can purchased at the starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh, while the top model 4×4 goes up to Rs 22.49 lakh (all ex-showroom). The off-roader directly competes gainst Force Gurkha 5-door.
