This week’s episode of SmackDown, which took place at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, was headlined by an appearance from the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief was seen confronting Cody Rhodes, the Men’s Royal Rumble winner of 2024, whilst also involving an appearance of The Rock.
The latest episode of SmackDown even comprised a fight between Kevin Owens and Austin Theory. Meanwhile, Bayley emerged victorious in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble. After an appearance on the RAW, Bayley had to announce whether she would choose to face Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley or Women’s Champion IYO Sky at the WrestleMania 40.
This week’s edition of SmackDown kicked off with a segment featuring United States Champion Logan Paul and Owens.
Kevin Owens vs Austin Theory
In the opening fight of the night, Kevin Owens was seen taking on Austin Theory. The first fight of the night was an exciting one and did succeed in impressing fans. Apart from dealing with his opponent, Owens had to tackle the interference from Logan Paul and Grayson Waller. Owens, eventually, emerged victorious having delivered brass knuckles.
LWO vs Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate vs Legado del Fantasmo vs Pretty Deadly
The second battle of the SmackDown was a fatal four way championship qualifying match involving LWO’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate, Legado del Fantasmo’s Angel and Humberto and Pretty Deadly’s Elton Prince and Kit Wilson. It was another action-packed clash that showcased the sublime fighting prowess of almost all the competitors. Dunne and Bate ultimately claimed a win and moved one step closer to a shot at The Judgment Day and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at the Elimination Chamber.
Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits vs The Final Testament
In the next fight, Bobby Lashley and The Street Profitswere involved in A six-man tag team match. The fight, however, never started as a brawl broke out before the bell rang.
Michin vs. Tiffany Stratton
In the next battle, Michin and Tiffany Stratton were up against each other. The battle also marked Stratton’s in-ring debut on SmackDown. Stratton could not have asked for a better start to her SmackDown outing as she got the better of Michin. Stratton pulled off The Prettiest MoonSault Ever to secure her win.
