WWE Announces First-Ever Two-Night SummerSlam in 2025 to be Hosted in New Jersey

WWE announced the dates and location for their first-ever two-night SummerSlam in 2025.

It was announced earlier this year that the 2026 edition of SummerSlam, set to take place in US Bank Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota, would be a two night event.

But, now the same format has been announced for the 2025 SummerSlam as well, with New Jersey playing as the host of the major wrestling spectacle.

The show will take place on August 2 and 3, 2025 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the host of WrestleMania 29 and 25.

“WWE and the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) today announced that MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will host the first-ever two-night SummerSlam on Saturday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025,” read an official statement released by the WWE.

“New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and the entire NJSEA team have been phenomenal partners, hosting several major UFC events in recent years including the record-breaking UFC 302 in June,” said Peter Dropick, TKO Executive Vice President of Event Development and Operations.

“We’re excited to bring WWE back to New Jersey in a major way with the first-ever two-night SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium.”

The announcement was also announced on Twitter, now X, as rapper Cardi B posted the official announcement video, showing her and Bianca Belair discussing a two-night SummerSlam event in 2025.

This year’s WWE SummerSlam event took place in Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, and featured the return of Roman Reigns in the main event.
