WWE superstar Raquel Rodriguez has finally opened up about the condition that kept her away from professional wrestling for almost two months. Rodriguez recently made a comeback to competitive action, featuring in a Last Chance Battle Royal match in the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. As the name suggests, the winner of the match would secure a place in the upcoming Premier Live Event, Elimination Chamber.

Raquel Rodriguez had the last laugh in the enthralling battle by eliminating Chelsea Green in the end. If the 33-year-old American can replicate the success in the Elimination Chamber match, it will make her a top contender for the Women's World Championship at WrestleMania 40. Before taking a break from WWE, Rodriguez featured in a one-on-one fight against Nia Jax in November last year.

Ahead of going into the Elimination Chamber, Raquel Rodriguez shared a video documenting her struggle against mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) over the past few months. She earlier revealed that she had been diagnosed with the condition, which led her to encounter the symptoms of anaphylaxis. It is an allergic condition as the patient suffers from hives, swelling, low blood pressure, difficulty in breathing and severe diarrhoea.

Raquel Rodriguez no doubt needed enough courage and mental strength to battle MCAS. The video shared on X (formerly Twitter) revealed various stages of her recovery process. Rodriguez has experienced reddening and swelling on her upper body and face. In some heartbreaking snippets, the RAW superstar could be seen crying as it was quite difficult to ignore the irritation caused by MCAS.

Raquel Rodriguez wrote in the caption, “The journey is far from over. I finally got some answers as to what caused this but it’s going to be a while til I can get it fully under control. I know one thing. I’m blessed to have an amazing support system. Family, friends, I love you all. Keep pushing through the pain.”

Upon entering the Elimination Chamber, Raquel Rodriguez will face competition from Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton and Naomi, who are also desperate to qualify for the WrestleMania. The highly anticipated battle will take place at the Optus Stadium in Perth on February 24.
