Israel Media Reports Damage To Negev Desert Air Force Base In Iran Strikes, IDF Shares New Lebanon Ops Video

After Iran fired a barrage of missiles at Israel, the satellite images of an aircraft hangar at a key Israeli military air base appear to show a large hole in the roof.

The images that surfaced on Thursday showed Nevatim Air Base in the Negev Desert suffered major damage to the roof in a row of buildings near a runway. Large pieces of debris can be seen spread around the building.

The Israeli military is yet to make any statement on the damage at the Nevatim air base, home to the Israeli Air Force’s most advanced aircraft, including US-produced F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets.

However, the Israeli military on Wednesday acknowledged that some of its airbases were hit in Iran’s attack, but the damage was deemed “ineffective,” meaning that no harm was caused to the continuous operations of the Israeli Air Force.

Reports claimed that Iran launched at least 180 missiles into Israel on Tuesday. Iran said the barrage was retaliation for a series of devastating blows Israel has landed in recent weeks against Hezbollah, including the killing of its leader Hassan Nasrallah in strikes on Beirut last week.

The Israeli military claimed that the missile impacts damaged office buildings and maintenance areas in the bases, and reported no damage caused to fighter jets, drones, other aircraft, munitions, or critical infrastructure.

A day after Iran fired a barrage of missiles at Israel, the IDF said it began limited ground incursions into Lebanon targeting the Iran-backed Hezbollah, the latest in a series of rapidly escalating attacks between Israel and Iran and its Arab allies that threatens to push the Middle East closer to a regionwide war.

On Thursday, the Israeli military continued its campaign against Hezbollah and shared recorded footage of its operation in Lebanon where it struck the Bint Jbeil municipality building in which Hezbollah terrorists were reportedly operating.

“As part of the strike, approximately 15 Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated,” the Israeli military claimed on Thursday.

The military further said it struck approximately 200 Hezbollah terrorist targets in Lebanese territory, including terrorist infrastructure sites, terrorists, weapons storage facilities, observation posts, and additional terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

Israel Intercepts Houthi’s Drone Attack

Yemen’s Houthi group claimed a drone attack Thursday on a “vital target” in Jaffa in central Israel. The group fired several drones on Jaffa and they achieved their goal, said Houthi spokesman Yahya Sare, without elaborating.

He vowed to continue military attacks against Israel until it halts its assaults on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. Meanwhile, the Israeli army confirmed that it had intercepted a “suspicious aerial target” off the coast of central Israel.

The attack came days after Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes in Yemen’s coastal province of Al Hudaydah on Sunday, killing at least six people and injuring 57 others, according to Houthi-run authorities.
