ISIS spokesman Abu Hudhayfah al-Ansari called on ‘lone wolves’ worldwide to slaughter Christians and Jews en-masse during the month of Ramadan. In his chilling new push for terrorism, he declared the holy month of Ramadan as the ‘month of jihad’ and told extremists to launch attacks in the US, Europe and Israel.
In a 41-minute-long audio recording marking the 10-year anniversary of ISIS declaration of a caliphate in Iraq and Syria, Abu Hudhayfah al-Ansari urged Muslims to leave their homes and join and strengthen the jihadists.
He heaped praise on Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K) for the Moscow concert hall terror attack that killed at least 143 civilians. The ISIS spokesperson launched a campaign in January entitled ‘Kill Them Wherever You Find Them’ where he asked followers to refocus on terror attacks and said that the Israel-Palestine conflict is a war on Jews and is not limited to Israel.
“It is a religious ideological war that will continue until we kill their antichrist under the banner of the Prophet of Allah… tighten the plans and diversify operations: Blow them up with explosives, burn them with incendiary bombs, shoot them with bullets, slaughter their necks with knives, and run them over with buses,” he said in his audio message.
Following his previous announcement on January 4, the ISIS-K claimed responsibility for a series of terror attacks which also included the bombing of Kerman in Iran which killed over 100 people at a memorial service for Qassem Soleimani, a top commander of the Iranian Quds Force.
ISIS grew weak following protracted battles with American, Iraqi, and Kurdish forces in 2019 but continues to wield major influence in some central and west African nations and in areas adjoining Afghanistan.
ISIS-K is the most potent threat to have emerged from the main group, which has splintered into many factions and takes its name from an old Persian term for the region, Khorasan, that included parts of Iran, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, as well as areas of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Its propaganda, translated into regional languages as well as English, vows to establish a caliphate spanning that area. The other potent group is Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Chad basin which comprises of the nations of Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria.
