Queenstown Airport in New Zealand was partially evacuated on Sunday after a cleaner found a 'letter' about an explosive device on board a plane that just landed in the runway.

A massive operation was conducted by the police and the officers of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). After a thorough search operation inside the plane, aviation security and police have found no evidence of any explosives.

However, without taking any chance authorities are continuing to search through baggage and the terminal building, and are also questioning passengers.

The "Lord of the Rings" trilogy was filmed in Queenstown, which is known for its fictional hobbits.

Besides movie enthusiasts, tourists flock to Queenstown for the kayaking, bungee jumping, jet-boating, white-water rafting, hiking and skiing.
