Watch: Bear Raises Its Paws, Waves At Family Travelling Through Forest Road

It may not be rare to meet random strangers during a road trip. But imagine being greeted by a bear while crossing a forest driveway. Something similar happened to a family when they were enjoying a road trip along a tree-lined avenue. The man, who was driving the car, spotted a bear from a distance. He even rolled down the adjacent window to have a closer look at the animal. The twist came as soon as the car arrived in front of the bear. The mammal took a halt and stood up on its two legs. When the car was going away from it, the bear started waving its paws at the passengers of the car.

A clip featuring the heartwarming moment was dropped by Pubity with the caption, “If not friend, then why friend shaped?” Many were left in awe after watching the adorable human-like gesture by the bear. Some of them felt the animal was perhaps asking for a lift while standing by the forest road.

“It would be hard for me to stop the urge to pull over and chill with the bar for a while,” quipped a user. Another viewer hailed the driver for his courage as he reckons “seeing a bear and rolling the window down instead of up is crazy.” A person felt the bear was “just trying so hard to appear normal.”

A user assumed that the bear might be extending its gratitude to the man for “driving safely.” “For anyone curious. It is very common for passersby to feed these bears various snacks like bread. This is why the black bear stops and waves, as it’s their form of asking for food,” explained an individual.

Bears are well known for their unpredictable behaviour. They may become temperamental and aggressive at times and cause harm to any animal entering their habitat. Recently, a Serbian influencer accidentally went into a bear’s den. The man, Stefan Jankovic, shared his experience with an Instagram post last month.

Stefan was seated inside the den when the owner of the place came back. He saw a massive bear inching closer to him while sniffing the air. Stefan tried to stay calm as he didn’t want to bother the animal. He slowly stepped out of the den and climbed up on a nearby tree.

“You won’t believe what happened to me. I spent 24 hours in the forest, and a bear attacked me. It’s waiting for me, and there’s another one,” Stefan shared in the caption. The bone-chilling video has garnered more than 4.6 million likes on Instagram.
