UK Woman Finds 'Strange' Bones All Over Her Garden
The woman said that she found at least five of such strange bones in her overgrown medium-sized garden that backs onto fields.

A woman has raised concerns after discovering several bones “all over” her garden. The British woman described her find on Reddit on Thursday (June 13), sharing snaps of the bones in a bid to gain more information. Another Reddit user, posing as a pathologist, soon responded with a stark warning to the woman.

“Bones I keep finding all over the garden (UK),” she wrote in a caption on the r/weird subreddit. “I’ve found at least five of these strange bones in our overgrown medium-sized garden that backs onto fields.” In a seemingly innocent explanation, one Redditor put forward a theory, “I’m pretty sure these are oxtail bones. The people who lived there before her cooked oxtail soup and gave the bones to their dogs afterwards.”

“I’m also in the UK and have found quite a few deer bones while out walking – also two different skulls, fallow and muntjac, a hare skull, hedgehog skull, crow skull and even a blue tit skull, roe deer leg bones and a fallow deer antler”, a Reddit user said.

“I’m an animal undertaker,” said another. “If I were to go out with my well-educated hypothesis, I’d say this looks like the spine of a red fox, AKA the vulpes.” A third offered, “I suspect it’s the previous tenant’s beloved corgi, buried in the garden in a typically shallow grave.”

A fourth described a similar scenario, “When my family moved to the country, we found large bones all over the property. The previous owner trained dogs and gave them cow bones to chew on. It could be something like that.” Things soon took a dark turn, however. “Pathologist here,” claimed another user.

In another incident, months after human bones were found on the side of an Oklahoma highway, authorities say they belonged to a 27-year-old woman who has been missing since 2022. Christianna Laniel was homeless when she was last seen in Checotah in September 2022, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. Her bones were found along a highway in Shawnee in December, but it took months to identify them, police said.
