‘So Unhygienic': Internet Reacts As Woman Prepares Bread Dough In Aircraft
The vlogger recorded the process from scratch and shared how she spent her time while flying to Spain.

Social media definitely impacted you if you ever attempted to split cherry tomatoes across two dishes or cook noodles in an air fryer. The internet is an endless repository of innovative culinary ideas. Instagram boasts 530 million food hashtags, showcasing everything from intricately plated gourmet sushi to murky images of oily fried rice. We’ve also seen videos where people take these experiments to the next level by cooking in unconventional places. A vlogger recently took this concept a step further, preparing bread dough aboard a plane.

A video has been circulating on social media depicting a vlogger making bread dough inside a plane. Yes! You read that right. The content creator prepared dough at thousands of feet above sea level because apparently “mixing flour and water in a shaking cabin is a perfect spot to test your culinary abilities.”

The vlogger recorded the process from scratch and shared how she spent her time while flying.

The clip begins with the text that reads, “Making Sourdough Bread on my flight to Spain” followed by the vlogger stating “I want to surprise my sister with a fresh loaf of bread.” After this, she begins the preparation and adds some water, starter, flour and salt to a large container inside the flight. Next, she mixes everything well to prepare a dough and allow it to rest for some time. Lastly, she gently stretches the dough and folds it.

The video ends with the text, “Sleep during bulk fermentation.”

As soon as the content creator posted the video on Instagram, it prompted several users to share their reactions. In the comments section, several users criticised her for undertaking such an experiment on a plane.

An Instagram user commented, “This is ridiculous! All for social media attention. Geez!.”

Another user wrote, “This is inconsiderate to everyone on the plane who is allergic to wheat and/or gluten. If I sat next to you, I would request a different seat and a full refund right away because even inhaling the flour would make me sick for several weeks. Please be more considerate next time.” To which the vlogger replied, “Thanks for letting me know. I won’t be doing this again. I’m sorry.”

One of them commented, “Too much. A Plane is not somewhere to make food. If someone told me they did that on a flight my first reaction would be GURL WHY?”

A comment read, “I call this sickness.”

A person wrote, “This is just unhygienic.”

However, in another post, which is supposed to be Part 2 of the in-flight dough-making clip, the content creator explained the reason she decided to make the video.

She wrote in the caption, “I was trying to be creative after I saw another creator making pasta in-flight, but thanks to your comments I learned this was not a great idea. I am very thankful for the people who shared their feedback in a kind way, but it’s ok if you want to hate on it, I had good intentions. We had this bread for dinner the following day and it was great! I am loving exploring Barcelona and visiting a few of the best bakeries here.”

The clip has gathered 1.1 million views since being shared on Instagram.
