Noida Police Station Turns Into Pond after Rainfall, Severe Waterlogging Inside Premises
Located adjacent to Delhi, the Sector 63 police station found itself inundated following a brief afternoon downpour.

The Sector 63 police station in Noida, known for its prominence in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar district, faced an unusual predicament on Tuesday as heavy rainfall transformed its surroundings into a pond. Videos capturing policemen navigating through waterlogged corridors have gone viral on social media, highlighting the infrastructure challenges faced by the city.

Located adjacent to Delhi, the Sector 63 police station found itself inundated following a brief afternoon downpour. The footage raises concerns about accessibility for residents needing police services.

The rain caused severe waterlogging within the police station premises, remarked Awadhesh Pratap Singh, the officer in-charge of Sector 63 police station. We anticipate the water will recede in the next one to one and a half hours, but unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. Such situations arise almost every time it rains, he further added.

The incident underscores ongoing challenges faced by local authorities, despite Noida’s reputation as an economic powerhouse and a city of aspirations for many. The viral footage has sparked a debate on social media, criticising the adequacy of infrastructure maintenance in the face of routine monsoon challenges.
