Mumbai-based Woman Shares Hiring 'Horror Story' on LinkedIn After Candidate Calls Her a B***h
Woman shares disappointing interview with candidate who call her a 'b****h', LinkedIn post goes viral.

A Mumbai-based entrepreneur recently shared a jaw-dropping ‘hiring horror story’ on LinkedIn, revealing how a candidate disrespected her in multiple ways. Founder Senain Sawant, who has been struggling to find the right candidates for her start-up Grump, recounted the incident, sharing her WhatsApp exchange with the candidate that quickly turned into a nightmare.

Sawant started by detailing the incident, “I had a scheduled google meet (video) interview with someone who applied for the role of a social media executive, but their CV did not have enough information for an immediate hire. Hence, I scheduled a call with them to see whether they had the potential to be an Executive, or could be trained as an intern for a couple of months first.” She added that the candidate joined the call but kept their camera off, claiming they didn’t own a computer and citing an iOS update that supposedly disabled video calls.

When she inquired how the candidate usually worked, they mentioned borrowing a laptop from their previous employer. Sawant requested a rescheduled interview with the camera on, as she needed to see who she was speaking with. The candidate curtly replied “Fine” and abruptly ended the call, raising her suspicions due to their odd tone from the beginning.

The real drama unfolded when she texted the candidate after the call. In the WhatsApp screenshots she shared, Sawant pointed out that the calendar invite clearly mentioned a video interview, and she had never heard of an iOS update that blocked video calls.

The candidate became defensive, stating they applied for a social media executive role, not an internship. “Your resume speaks otherwise. All the best,” Sawant replied. The candidate then responded, “I’m okay skipping this one (the role),” adding they had a year of work experience.

The conversation took a shocking turn when the candidate sent another message saying, “With all due respect, don’t be a bi**h. The arrogance you speak with.” Stunned, Sawant replied, “Excuse me?” The candidate doubled down, adding, “No one would want to speak to you.” Wait, what?

The Mumbai entrepreneur ended the conversation by saying, “Thank you for clarifying your level of experience and professionalism.”
