MS Dhoni's Die-Hard Fan Cycles 1200 Km From Delhi To Meet 'Captain Cool' In Ranchi

When you are driven by love and passion, nothing can stop you from achieving any dream. A die-hard fan of MS Dhoni proved the point when he travelled a long way from Delhi to meet his idol in Ranchi. The man, identified as Gaurav Kumar, completed the 1,200-kilometre journey on a yellow cycle featuring some iconic pictures of “Captain Cool”. Gaurav had camped outside Dhoni’s farmhouse and stayed there for a week. His wait was finally over when Dhoni’s brother spotted him outside the gate and invited him to visit the farmhouse.

It gave Gaurav an opportunity to fulfil his dream by meeting Dhoni. The former Chennai Super Kings captain also gifted him a signed IPL jersey. Gaurav’s story came to light after a social media user shared a couple of pictures of him on X.

In the first picture, the fan, donning a CSK shirt, could be seen standing outside Dhoni’s Ranchi farmhouse. In the second frame, a delighted Gaurav was captured holding a brand-new CSK jersey featuring the autograph of Dhoni. The photo also featured a note – “Mahi se meet ho gaya (Got to meet Mahi).”

The caption of the post read, “You must have seen this picture, I posted it on October 1 and this post has got approximately 3M views. Today you will be happy to know that Dhoni met Gaurav yesterday, Dhoni’s brother showed Gaurav around the farmhouse, and he also met Dhoni.”

Gaurav Kumar shared his experience via an Instagram video. He revealed that Dhoni’s brother showed him around the entire farmhouse. He, however, was not allowed to click pictures due to security concerns.

“Finally, I am extremely happy that my long-held dream has come true. I got to meet Mahi Sir. His elder brother showed me around the whole farmhouse. Due to security reasons, I couldn’t take any photos or videos, but I did get his autograph, which is a huge deal for me,” Gaurav was heard saying in the clip.

MS Dhoni has recently come back to India after enjoying a long holiday in the USA. He has yet to confirm his decision about playing in the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). CSK are expected to finalise their retention list after Dhoni clarifies his stance.
