Is Instagram Down? These 'Best' Memes Will Keep You Company
Following a significant outage earlier this month, Instagram is down for the second time.

The widely-used photo-sharing application, Instagram, is down for several users across the world. While the issue is yet to be resolved, social media users wasted no time venting their emotions and reactions by resorting to X (formerly known as Twitter). The global outage instantly sparked a meme fest on social media, with users ironically taking to the microblogging platform to share pictures and GIFs to make light of the situation.

Take a look at some of the most hilarious reactions to Instagram being down:

A user, while taking a jibe at how users have thronged to Musk’s X after Instagram went down, shared a funny crowd video, resembling the way netizens are rushing to the microblogging platform.

A hilarious compilation resembling Instagram users’ reactions after the outage also went viral on X.

Taking inspiration from The Simpsons, a user shared a picture showing Homer moving from Instagram to X after the server went down.

As the reactions continue to flood social media platforms, it seems like the affected section of users is still struggling with their Instagram accounts getting logged out automatically. As per Downdetector.com, there were 488 reports of an outage on Friday morning at 6:30 AM.

While users are taking to other platforms to express their frustration and seek updates on when the services will be restored, Meta, the parent company of Instagram is yet to give an official statement in this regard.

Facebook and Instagram face worldwide outage

Earlier this month, both Facebook and Instagram faced a major outage on March 5 leading to log-in issues on the platforms. Users widely raised the issue and complained that they were getting logged out of Facebook and Instagram. Some were even unable to refresh their pages and were asked to change passwords.

A few hours later, the services were restored. Meta spokesperson Andy Stone, in a statement, apologised for the inconvenience and wrote, “Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”

X owner Elon Musk also took a quick dig at the outage and wrote, “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working.”
