Influencer Recounts Experience Of Italian Hotel Without Guests, Calls Experience Surreal

A travel influencer has shared a harrowing experience of staying at a staff-less, “abandoned” hotel in Italy. On TikTok, she recounted her stay at a hotel in Cagliari, Sardinia. The video highlights the empty hotel and its vintage décor. While the hotel appears ordinary, the influencer described how she was the sole guest with no staff present for most of her stay. She said, “It’s just me and some gentlemen who arrived after booking in advance. There was no one to welcome them because everything was closed. There is no one here.”

The TikToker mentioned that upon her arrival, someone was there to hand her a key and informed her that “everything was going to be closed,” though she was still surprised by how empty it truly was. She continued, “There is a restaurant downstairs which is closed. The hotel is empty.” She also showed viewers around her room, noting it was messy as she was preparing to leave the next morning. She said, “It looks like a room in my grandmother’s house. It is like my grandmother’s old wardrobe. This is the bathroom. It only has one mini lamp.”

Despite everything, the most shocking aspect of her stay was that all the rooms were left open. She added, “There is no security whatsoever. As if the hotel was mine.”She described the experience as ‘surreal’ and mentioned that she ended up showing guests to their rooms when some eventually did arrive. “There were no guests in the hotel and suddenly a car arrives, and there are two elderly foreigners, I think from Croatia,” she said.
