Elon Musk Responds To Little Girl From China Who Flagged A Problem With Her Tesla
Tesla has sold more than 1.7 million cars in China in the last decade after it entered the country.

Elon Musk is one of the rare business tycoons who responds directly to complaints and queries about his products. Recently, he responded to a little girl from China who reported a problem with her Tesla’s infotainment touchscreen. The girl named Molly made a concise video explaining the problem. She first introduced herself and said, “Hello Mr Musk. I am Molly from China. I have a question about your car. When I draw a picture, sometimes the lines disappear like this. You see it? So can you fix it? Thank you.”

Molly then goes on to show how some of the lines that she would draw on the Tesla touchscreen would disappear automatically. With this, she becomes incapable of finishing the digital artwork, since the previous drawing strokes would disappear on their own. A popular X account shared Molly’s video on X, where it got over one million views. Elon Musk responded to the video on the same day as he simply wrote, “Sure.”

It is unclear how the Tesla CEO would solve Molly’s problem or get in touch with her family. Nonetheless, many people praised him for responding to the young girl’s query. An X user praised Elon Musk and wrote, “I love that you keep your eyes out on things like this and are responsive. No other CEO is this attentive and it’s why I own two cars and the stock. Keep up the great work.”

Another person observed, “I love that this little girl is using the English skills she has learned to ask a question directly to you that is obviously of importance to her. This was a fun interaction to read on X. Thank you for being so kind by responding. Perfect answer in one word.”

People also praised Molly for being clear and straightforward with her message. An X user wrote, “This little girl does a better job of explaining the problem than 99% of users who just say, ‘I don’t know, it doesn’t work’,’ Can you tell me what doesn’t work? “I don’t know! Just fix it!”

Someone suggested how Tesla can improve and noted, “I talked about this with my children and learned this wonderful idea! Tesla tablets could have voice-influenced drawing software, allowing children to select colours and use magic pencils for creative design, thus increasing the blank sheet space just for drawing and not for choosing colours, shapes, pencil thickness size, etc. This would increase your love for Tesla cars.”

It is interesting to note that China is Tesla’s second-largest market after the United States. Last year, Chinese sales accounted for accounting for the EV company’s global sales. As per Reuters, Tesla has sold more than 1.7 million cars in China in the last decade after it entered the country.
