Deepika Padukone's Post Featuring A Spoon Proves She Is As Desi As Us

Deepika Padukone is currently going through a new chapter in her life as she’s enjoying a babymoon with her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, in an undisclosed location. This vacation isn’t merely a getaway—it’s a profound step towards parenthood. The couple has taken a well-deserved break before their little one arrives later this year. Amidst this, the actress continues to delight followers with her down-to-earth and entertaining social media updates. Recently, taking to her Instagram Story, Deepika Padukone shared a humorous post featuring a spoon.

The post, originally shared by chef Kunal Kapur, features a spoon with an intricately designed handle. The former MasterChef judge suggested declaring it “The National Spoon of India,” and questioned, “Are you even desi if you don’t have this spoon?” Reposting Kapur’s witty post, the Pathan actress reposted it and added a sticker to that simply reads “Truth.”

Kapur had urged his followers to share pictures of the same spoon from their homes and promised to feature them on his profile. To his surprise, numerous users participated in the challenge and shared pictures of this unique spoon.

Reacting to Chef Kunal Kapur’s post, a user wrote, “Yes I have it my kitchen.”

Another joked, “Ye to santoor wala spoon hai. (This is santoor spoon).”

An individual shared, “Wow, didn’t know this spoon was so famous till now.”

Meanwhile, Padukone remains dedicated to her work commitments even during pregnancy. Currently, she is busy filming for her upcoming blockbuster Singham Again. This movie is the third instalment in the Singham franchise and the fifth addition to Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.

Other than Deepika Padukone, the star cast includes Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor. The actress will also share the screen with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Disha Patani in Kalki 2898 AD, which is scheduled to release on 27 June. She will also be seen in The Intern, alongside Bachchan.
