Social media influencer Insha Ghai announced the untimely demise of her husband Ankit Kalra via an Instagram post. She shared a picture of Kalra with the text: “In loving memory of Ankit Kalra. 24-03-1995 – 19-08-2024.” Alongside, she shared a heartbreaking caption, “Take me one day back. I promise to do things differently! Come back baby, please? I miss you.”
After Ghai shared the post, her family, friends, and fans were in shock over her husband’s death. The couple had married in February last year, and after almost one and a half years of marriage, death did them part, leaving everyone devastated.
The influencer shared the tragic news of her husband’s death on August 20, a day after Raksha Bandhan.

Who was Ankit Kalra?
Ankit Kalra was a digital creator, interior designer, and builder. He was often seen making funny Instagram Reels with his wife Insha Ghai. The 29-year-old was born and brought up in Delhi. He studied at GD Goenka Public School in Vasant Kunj before attending GD Goenka University.
Kalra’s last social media post was on August 18, a day before his death. He shared a picture of himself in a black T-shirt and shades and wrote, “The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow.”
His last Instagram Reel with his wife was on August 4 which was on “modern problems require modern solutions”.
Internet reacts to Ankit Kalra’s death
Reacting to Insha Ghai’s post about her husband, an Instagram user wrote, “No. Don’t say this is real, please. Unable to process. Please take care.”
Another added, “Please stay strong Insha! Please, baby. We all are with you. Rest in Peace, Ankit. Still cannot believe it! But we will definitely take care of your better half. Promise.”
“Omg. This is just not believable. May his soul rest in peace. May god give strength to the whole family,” expressed a third.
A fourth commented, “Unsettling! Honestly, I am in disbelief. Always enjoyed your cute videos. I made sure about the news 100 times before leaving the comment here. Still don’t know how to pacify! Stay strong, Insha Ghai.”
Though Ghai hasn’t disclosed the cause of her husband’s death, many social media users speculate that he passed away due to a cardiac arrest.
