Shark Tank India judge Namita Thapar often grabs headlines for her opinions. From challenges at work to women’s health, the entrepreneur never shies away from sharing her take on various topics. Most recently, she opened up about balancing personal and work life, reflecting on the societal pressure and criticisms successful women endure.
During an interaction with the actress Karishma Tanna on her podcast, Namita Thapar was asked to share her views on managing work-life balance. In response, Namita remarked that there is a lot of hate involved while trying to balance things. The entrepreneur said, “Honestly, there’s no balance. Because I’ve said this very often, when I prioritize my work, my kids and many other family members hate me for it. So there’s a lot of hate, there’s a lot you have to deal with.”
Namita Thapar continued, “When I prioritize my family at times, I’ve been taunted as she’s doing it part-time. I just took off for two hours to attend a PTA meeting. That’s not part-time. So, you know, it’s like damn if you do, damn if you don’t. There’s no balance. You just have to wake up every morning, make your to-do list, be at peace with what you’ve decided and get on with life.”
Namita Thapar also talked about her experience of working on Shark Tank India. Calling it ‘fantastic’, she shared that none of the judges, including her, expected the show to become a big hit.
Namita also reacted to being referred to as a ‘nepo kid’ on social media. The Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals noted that she takes every setback and trolling as a learning experience. “ It just makes you evolve as a person,” she said.
Earlier this year, Namita Thapar wowed fans with her stunning Cannes debut. Her glamorous looks and fashion finesse won several hearts, garnering her love and applause from fans across the nation.
Namita Thapar has been a part of the business reality show Shark Tank India ever since its inception. She is expected to return in the upcoming season of the show as well.
