Imlie New Promo: Agastya And Imlie Agree For Contract Marriage

Imlie is one of the most popular television shows that has won the hearts of viewers with its storyline and characters. Recently, in response to a dip in TRP ratings, the show’s creators decided to take a bold step by introducing a generation leap. As of now, Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy are playing the lead roles in the show. Now, the latest promo gives fans a glimpse of Agastya and Imlie’s latest twist in the storyline. The promo shared on Star Plus showcases the characters agreeing to a contract marriage.

Sai Ketan Rao plays the role of Agastya, a wealthy businessman, while Adrija Roy plays the role of Imlie, a singer. In the promo, Agastya and Imlie decide to enter into a contract marriage due to their individual reasons. However, before Imlie consents, Agastya lays down some ground rules. He pledges to give Imlie Rs 60 lakh for their six-month marriage, with the condition that they do not interfere in each other’s private lives. Imlie agrees to these terms, setting her own boundaries. Agastya proposes that they only need to act like a married couple in front of their families and that they will share the same bedroom. But Imlie insists on having separate beds. Additionally, Agastya emphasizes that she must not fall in love with him. Reluctantly, Imlie agrees, and they both sign the contract before parting ways.

Imlie first premiered in 2020 and had Sumbul Touqeer and Fahmaan Khan as the lead actors. Their fresh pairing and chemistry won over the audience’s hearts. However, they left the show, and later on, there was a significant 18-year generation leap. Megha Chakraborty and Karan Vohra took over the lead roles during this phase. However, they are no longer part of the show and now Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy are playing the lead roles.
