Bigg Boss 17: The countdown to the premiere of the much-awaited season of Bigg Boss has begun. The reality show is poised to return with its 17th season, hosted by none other than everyone’s Bhaijaan, Salman Khan. Fans are eager to know who the participants are this year, especially after the makers dropped the teasers recently. At the moment, confirmations about the contestant lineup are being kept under wraps. The show is set to air on October 15, and it promises to be unique. As you wait for the premiere, can you guess how much the host, Salman Khan, is charging for each episode?
As per the show’s format every year, Salman Khan graces the television screen every weekend on the special Weekend Ka Vaar episodes. According to sources mentioned by Bollywood Life, Salman Khan would be paid Rs 12 crore every week to host the show, which equates to Rs 6 crore per episode. Therefore, if the programme runs for about four months, which is usually the case, the actor might wind up pocketing a whopping Rs 200 crore for a full season. But there is no official confirmation from the makers or the actor on the compensation yet.
Salman Khan has been associated with Bigg Boss since 2010 and has become a crucial part of the show. Reportedly, the actor started with a remuneration of about Rs 2.5 crore. From the 7th season on, the pay was increased to Rs 5 crore, and it subsequently increased every year.
Meanwhile, recently, Salman Khan unveiled the first look at the new season’s set. The superstar hosted the media at the newly-built Bigg Boss 17 set and gave them a glimpse at the magnificent stage the team has put together.
Salman Khan was seen making an entry through a tunnel-like arrangement with a dragon set up at the top in one of the photographs. In another, he was spotted standing against a wall that appeared to be influenced by the Victorian era. Salman also mentioned that the set contains a large train arrangement.
Last month, Salman announced the new season of Bigg Boss with the promising themes of Dil Dimag and Dum. The audience will be able to watch the forthcoming season of Bigg Boss on Colours TV. The JioCinema app is an alternative option for individuals who prefer the flexibility of watching at their leisure after the TV broadcast. The show will air from Monday to Friday at 10 p.m. On weekends, the episodes will premiere at 9 p.m.
