New Delhi: WhatsApp is apparently finally bringing the ability to share music to its iOS app - a basic feature which is already available for the Android platform.
One of the most popular messaging apps, WhatsApp for iOS has lacked this little but important feature when it comes to social messaging. However, according to a German site, Macerkopf, the latest beta for iOS hints at the music sharing feature along with larger emojis.
Currently, with WhatsApp for iOS (version 2.16.6) users can only share images, location, videos, contacts, or documents with their contacts. Although one can receive and play audio files, but can't share locally stored content.
The site notes that the beta version 2.16.7.257 allows for sharing music which is stored locally on the iPhone and also from the Apple Music service. To be able to send files from the music service, the receiver too needs to be a subscriber.
