WhatsApp users were unable to access their account on web and mobile on Wednesday evening across the globe. The issue escalated around 11:47 PM IST and went for almost 2 hours into early morning on Thursday. People shared the update through social media with WhatsAppdown trending, which confirmed the development. The spike in outage reports has been credited to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata among others by Downdetector.in. We also noticed outage reports from people in other countries which means it was a major issue.
