Preorders for the new tablets start Wednesday, with arrival at selected retailers and carriers expected for September 3.
Samsung announced the US retail prices and shipment dates of the new Galaxy Tab S2.
Earlier this summer, Samsung unveiled its newest tablet model, the Galaxy Tab S2. Lighter and thinner than its competitor, the iPad Air 2, it is available in two sizes: 9.7-inch and 8.0-inch. Now US prices have been announced as $499.99 for the larger model, and $399.99 for the smaller.
Both devices will be available in black, white and gold. Each tablet currently runs Android 5.0, with no word yet as to whether they will automatically update to 6.0 when it becomes available.
