Project Scorpio is Microsoft's name for its in-development upgrade to the Xbox One.
Video game technical analysis site Digital Foundry will partner for the April 6 reveal, which will be carried by network sibling Eurogamer, the two publications confirmed.

The more popular PlayStation 4 has been viewed as better value and as being made by a more sympathetic company since the two brands' contrasting pre-launch presentations at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2013.
The Scorpio is expected to outstrip the PS4 Pro by an order of magnitude, bringing it up to spec with PCs capable of pushing 4K visuals and powering Oculus Rift or HTC Vive virtual reality headsets.
